Thank you for visiting BubbleBid.com!

BubbleBid is an Entertainment Shopping and Fun-petitive Bidding venue with unique features designed to increase the excitement of getting a great deal on brand new products. BubbleBid.com is commonly referred to a "Penny Auction" site, but we have many formats and incentives that makes us different from the rest and stand out among the best.

1. All auctions start at a price of $0.00.

2. Each bid drives the price up by a set amount of $0.01.

3. Each bid placed in the final seconds of the countdown timer adds 10 - 30 seconds to the clock as listed in the auction. (except for Reserve auctions).

4. When the timer on the auction hits 0 the item is sold.

Each bid on BubbleBid.com cost a small amount, and bids can be purchased in packs of 20, 50, 75, 100, 250 & 500. We offer cheaper rates on larger Bid Packs, and we give free Bubble Bucks* on our two largest packs.

4.  Bidding and Winning. See all below:

We have many great auction formats from which you can pick for your fun, entertainment, and to get a great deal.

Open Auctions: These are 'Penny Auctions' where users place bids on an item and the Price of that item increases by $0.01 for each bid placed.

Each auction has a countdown timer, and when the clock hits Zero the auction is over and the last bidder is the winner.

If a bid is placed within the final countdown seconds (listed on the auction), the clock will add a small amount of time onto the auction, usually 20 seconds or as stated. New bids add time to the clock to allow all users the fair opportunity to be the final bidder. If no one outbids you and the clock hits zero, you're the winner! Note: BubbleBid.com does not recommend "last second" bidding. Bids placed at 3 seconds or less are placed at the users risk. The server may not receive and process your bid before the auction ends.

You only pay the final price that the penny increments have increased the price to, which means that you can win an item for a final price that is up to 99% off MSRP.

*See below for other features that will assist you in deciding when and how to bid, how to implement a strategy, descriptions of specific auction formats, and to preset a bid assistant to do the bidding for you.

Reserve Auctions: These are 'Penny Auctions' that have a 'Reserve' price or a number of bids required before the auction can be won. Think of this as a total price in penny increments, or a bid quantity that must be achieved before the the Item is eligible to be sold. While the specific Reserve will not be disclosed to anyone, we will always list a price range that it will fall within. On Reserve Auctions you can outbid yourself to try to hit this Reserve and win the item quickly. When the Reserve is met (depending on the auction format) the auction immediately converts to a normal Penny Auction with a very short amount of time on the countdown clock (as stated within the auction), where only previous bidders are allowed to continue bidding. Our Blaze and Blast auction style formats end immediatly for the winner when the reserve is met, see the format descriptions below.

BubbleBid usually sets up the Reserve auctions with a Random reserve. The excitement of knowing that the reserve may be at the very next bid you place is what makes BubbleBid a great place to play. Each auction will state if the Reserve is set up by our system-generated Random Reserve setting.

*See below for other features that will assist you in deciding when and how to bid, how to implement a strategy, and descriptions of specific auction formats.

BOOM Auctions: These are what sets BubbleBid apart from the rest. Boom Auctions are Reserve auctions that incorporate our unique Multi-Winner outcome! We list 2 or 3 Items in each Boom Auction. See below on how you can win 1 or 2 of these Items in each Boom Auction.

These auctions begin with bids being placed on our Bubble Board, where you can pick any Price Bubble to place a bid, in any order. One of these Price Bubbles is assigned by our system at Random to be a surprise winner of the 2nd Item listed in the auction! Each Price Bubble is it's own Bid Button! There is no regular Bid button displayed until the reserve is met. The Reserve is set equal to the number of Price Bubbles on the Bubble Board. If there are 40 Price Bubbles ranging from $0.01 to $0.40 on the Board, then the Reserve is met when all 40 prices have been bid upon - one of these is guaranteed to be the Boom Bubble winning Item #2!

Use caution when clicking on the Price Bubble that you wish to place a Bid on. A single-click places 1 Bid on that Price and cannot be changed or refunded. BubbleBid cannot be responsible for mis-clicks! Bid responsibly.

BubbleBid's BOOM auctions are very unique in our Multi-Winner approach to Reserve auctions.

Item #1 will go the eventual winner of the auction once the Reserve is met and the standard penny auction bidding has completed.

Item #2 will be awarded to the bidder who places the bid on the Price Bubble that is Randomly assigned by our system (not by hand), called the BOOM Bubble!

This is our bonus for bidding toward Item #1. Bidding continues until all Price Bubbles are bid upon by all users. No user may place more than 70+% (rounded) of all bids on the Bubble Board. This limit is clarified within the auction description.  When the final Price Bubble is bid upon, the auction immediately goes Live with a preset amount of time on the countdown clock. The Bubble Board will disappear and is no longer used in Live bidding since the standard Bid button will now be made available.

Item #3 is awarded to the user who placed the most "un-winning" bids (if a 3rd item is listed, usually Bubble Bucks). If the auction ends and you placed the most bids that did not win Item #1 - and - missed the Boom Bubble for Item #2, then you automatically win Item #3.

Yes, you can win both Item #1 AND Item #2, so bid agressively and use a strategy.

And, here's one of the best parts about BubbleBid's unique Boom Auctions: You could win Item #2 with Just One Bid!

More on Boom Auctions: During the Live auction time, only users who have placed a bid on the Bubble Board may place bids during the live countdown. This is called an Inner-Loop auction, and is designed to keep an even playfield and mantain fairness to our early bidders. Each new bid will add time to the clock as in standard open auctions, up to a preset countdown level. The random BOOM Bubble and the bidder who placed the bid on it will not be revealed until all bidding has completed and the winner for Item #1 has been declared. This makes the auction Fun, Fair and Exciting!

Bid early to get the Price Bubbles you believe will be the BOOM Bubble. Bid anytime to work on your strategy and plan your next move. Bid Late to ensure you will be ready when the reserve is met and auction goes live. Bid Often to send the auction into Live open status and hope to be the only bidder ready for competition!

Be sure to check out every one of our Boom Auctions as this revolutionary enhancement to entertainment shopping is sure to catch on incredibly fast!

BLAST Auctions These are Fast-Paced auctions that feature a hidden, randomly-assigned price on the Bubble Board. The First bidder to pop this Boom Bubble wins - No Timers! One Winner.

Blast Auctions are the highly popular auctions on BubbleBid. No bid ranges or reserves, simply bid on the hidden Boom Bubble Price and you win. The new Blast Auctions deliver excitement 24/7 since you don't need to worry about timers or meeting reserves. The higher value the item, the more Price Bubbles on the Board. Only one Price is the winner. When the Boom Bubble Price is hit the auction immediately ends for all bidders.

We guarantee that the Boom Bubble is randomly assigned by our system to fall within the list of prices available on the Bubble Board. Bids placed are considered used and are non-refundable.

2nd Place Bids Bonus: Many Blast Auctions now feature a 2nd Place bids bonus to the runner-up in the auction. How often has the next bidder come along to place the bid(s) that win? This 2nd Place bonus is our way to reward our bidders for playing at BubbleBid.

BURST Auctions: These are incredibly entertaining auctions that feature Random parameters on multiple levels.

Burst Auction Format has been updated (10/26/12), please read below:

Burst Auctions are Reserve auctions that feature our unique Multi-Winner outcome, one bidder may win both prizes, or 2 different bidders may win each prize. We list 2 Items in each Burst Auction, usually Prize #1 is a Bids Pack, and Prize #2 is Bubble $Bucks. The rules are the same as on our BLAST Auctions above, BUT, there is another hidden price bubble on the board that awards the $Bucks to anyone who bids on it. You could place one single bid and win the $Bucks. The Burst listings automatically respawn a new auction once one closes, to keep the action and excitement running 24/7!

We guarantee that the Boom Bubble is randomly assigned by our system to fall within the list of prices available on the Bubble Board. However, the Boom Bubble may not always be hit since the randomness of the reserve may preclude the Boom Bubble itself being bid upon. Try to win both for a great Win!

BLAZE Auctions: Timered Random-Reserve Auctions. The New Penny Auction Hybrid. Win the item or Win a Profit on your bids. It's a Win-Win! The First bidder to pop the hidden Boom price wins immediately, regardless of the time left on the clock. This hidden Boom price is set randomly by our system within the range displayed. If the timer ends before the hidden reserve is met, the high bidder wins 120% - 200% times their placed bids.

Blaze Auctions are the newest and speediest auctions on BubbleBid. Simply bid on the hidden Boom Price and you win. When the hidden Boom Price is hit the auction immediately ends for all bidders. You can bid over yourself to try to hit the hidden Boom price before someone else.

Here's what makes Blaze Auctions so unique: Be the last bidder when time expires (random reserve not yet met) and you win a profitable multiple of the bids you placed in the auction. This is usually 120% up to 200% of your Bids back!

Blaze Auctions are subject to generous Win Limits*: 20 per Day (24 hrs), 100 / week (in hours), 500 / month (in hours). Winning Bids back counts as a win.

*UPDATE 2012-07-31: Win Limits on BLAZE Auctions have been temporarily increased to the following: 100 per Day (24 hrs), 500 / week (in hours), 1500 / month (in hours). Winning Bids back counts as a win. We adjust these limits as necessary to keep our site fun and fair.

2nd Place Bids Bonus: Many Blaze Auctions now feature a 2nd Place bids bonus to the runner-up in the auction when the reserve is met. How often has the next bidder come along to place the bid(s) that win? This 2nd Place bonus is our way to reward our bidders for playing at BubbleBid.

Inner-Loop / Sniper Lockout: BubbleBid is proud to protect our bidders by implementing an innovative 'sniper lockout' system into our auctions. An auction will go into 'inner-loop' status when a stated number of bids are placed within a short time frame, which protects our active bidders from a late-coming sniping bidder. This protection will engage for a 5 minute period, continually lasting while there are the stated number of bids placed within a few minutes time. After this 5 minutes runs out all bidders are open to continue bidding again. This inner-loop lockout is Void during the last 1 minute of the countdown clock. This is to deter abuse of the lockout system since our Blaze auctions award Bonus bids if the reserve is not met at clock exipration.

Example 1: $25 Gift Card. Blaze price range: $0.01 - $1.20. Random Reserve happens to be $0.21. Bidder 1 places 10 bids. Bidder 2 places 11 bids and the auction immediately closes at $0.21. Bidder 2 wins the $25 Gift Card at a great deal.

Example 2: $25 Gift Card. Blaze price range: $0.01 - $1.20. Random Reserve happens to be $0.43. Bidder 1 places 10 bids. Bidder 2 places 20 bids. Bidder 1 places 10 more bids up to $0.40 and then the timer runs out. Since the hidden reserve price wasn't met this time, Bidder 1 is instantly credited with 120% to 200% of his placed bids (he placed 20 bids). So he wins 24 to 40 bids in this example.

Penny Auction: The bid increment for this auction is $0.01, so with each bid placed the price rises by a penny.

Bid Buddy / Bid Bubbler: You can pre-set a range of bids to be placed by our system. You choose Starting Price, ad Bid To price, and the total number of Bids you will allow to be placed on your behalf. Power Buddy / Power Bubbler: You can pre-set a range of bids to be placed by our system. Nail Biter Auction: No Bid Buddy (Bid Bubbler) is allowed in this auction. All bids must be placed by hand with the Bid button, or a Power Buddy must be set.

No Power Buddy: The Power Buddy assistant is not allowed in this auction and all bids must be placed by hand with the Bid Button, or a Bid Buddy must be set. Usually if the Nail Biter is set the No Power Buddy will be set as well.

Develop new bidding strategies to employ since this random name will be used for each bid you place. See who you went up against once the auction has closed!

100% Off: The final price reached at the end of the auction will be waived and the winner will not need to pay this price for the item. Stated Shipping, handling and any processing fees must still be paid by the winner.

Inner Loop: Any auction on BubbleBid may be updated to 'Inner Loop' status at a disclosed number of bids placed within 5 minutes of time. Inner Loop is described as being closed-off to new bidders, and only allows players who have placed previous bids to continue until the auction closes; or if the inner-loop timed protection runs out (4-5 minutes). This protects our members that have been actively bidding on an item from a late-comer who tries to get in and steal the deal (jumping/sniping). Please note, the inner-loop protection is Void during the last 1 minute of the clock. The Inner-Loop number of bids required to activate is listed below the auction title on the auction page. Plan a strategy accordingly. The Inner Loop feature helps keep things fair and levels the playing field for everyone. Be prepared for our system to activate the Inner Loop status, even early-on in the bidding process, to ensure that our valued members are rewarded by a timely lockout! On our Boom Auctions, the inner loop status happens immediately when the Reserve is met.

Example: A $25 gift card has an Inner-Loop set at 20 Bids. If 20 Bids are placed within 5 minutes of time (by 1 player or multiple), then the bidders within this 20 are protected from New bidders for 4-5 minutes. Note: I-L protection does not engage during the last 1 minute of the countdown clock.

Bubble Bucks: This is a form of currency on BubbleBid, and these Bucks are the equivalent to one USD $1. Bubble Bucks may be purchased directly from within your Profile page when logged in. Bubble Bucks never expire and incur no fees to retain. You can use your Bubble Bucks to pay for auction wins without using your PayPal balance or your Credit/Debit card each time you win an item at our incredibly low prices. Bubble Bucks can we Won in many of our auctions as a bonus when bidding on the main item listed in our multi-winner format auctions. Future plans are for BubbleBid to maintain our own Store where Bubble Bucks can be used to directly buy products, gifts, and other popular items.

Bubble Bucks Redemption Requests through PayPal: Bubble Bucks can be requested to be disbursed as PayPal payments to you at any time for a small processing fee. Please use our Contact form for these requests. Be advised that we require 24-72 weekday hours for processing payouts, and we do not process on weekends. See our processing rates below. Please note that PayPal charges their own fees to the recipient, so be aware of the charges that you may incur when requesting payouts from BubbleBid.

BubbleBid's processing Fees for PayPal payouts: $5 - $50: $1 | $51 - $100: $2 | $101 - $500: $3 | $500+: $4. We reserve the right to change this structure as to protect ourselves and our members. Bubble Bucks amounts under $5 cannot be processed as PayPal payments and these would be rounded and converted to Bids at no charge.
